Sonos Play

Overview

The Sonos Play is Sonos's first truly versatile portable speaker that doubles as a home Wi-Fi smart speaker and a rugged outdoor Bluetooth speaker. Launched in March 2026, it features 24-hour battery life, IP67 waterproof and dustproof construction, and automatic Trueplay room-tuning in both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modes. With three Class-H amplifiers driving two angled tweeters, a mid-woofer, and dual force-cancelling passive radiators, it delivers rich, room-filling sound whether connected to Wi-Fi at home or paired via Bluetooth at the park. The Play supports offline Bluetooth grouping of up to four units, USB-C device charging, a 3.5mm line-in jack, and integrated voice assistants, all at $279.
