Overview
The Samsung Galaxy SmartTag 2 is Samsung's second-generation Bluetooth item tracker, released October 2023, that helps users locate lost keys, bags, wallets, and other belongings through the global SmartThings Find crowdsourced network. It features a Samsung Exynos UWB chip for Precision Finding with AR compass overlay on compatible Galaxy phones, extending accurate directional tracking to approximately 120 meters in open air. The SmartTag 2 retains the user-replaceable CR2032 battery (lasting up to 700 days in Bluetooth-only mode), IP67 water and dust resistance, and adds a larger key ring loop and louder speaker compared to the original. With SmartThings Routines integration, the programmable button can trigger home automation scenes, and the double-tap phone finder feature locates your Galaxy phone even when it's in silent mode.
