Overview
The WHOOP 5.0 is a screenless, buttonless fitness and health wearable designed for continuous 24/7 monitoring of strain, recovery, sleep, and overall health. Featuring a 5-sensor suite with optical heart rate sampling every second, the device delivers personalized insights on sleep stages, HRV, resting heart rate, respiratory rate, VO2 Max, and heart rate zones through the WHOOP mobile app. With 14+ days of battery life — a significant upgrade over its predecessor — the WHOOP 5.0 is waterproof to 10 ATM and available in multiple band materials (CoreKnit knit textile and SportFlex silicone). A subscription is required for all functionality (WHOOP One ~$199/yr, Peak, Life, or MG tiers), with the MG tier adding FDA-registered ECG readings, blood pressure insights, and AFib detection. Launched in May 2025 alongside the WHOOP MG variant, the WHOOP 5.0 represents the company's most advanced wearable, backed by partnerships with Ferrari F1, NBA, NFLPA, and professional athletes globally.
