The Rabbit R1 is a $199 AI-powered personal assistant device co-designed by Teenage Engineering, launched in January 2024. Powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 processor with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, it runs rabbitOS (based on Android 13) and features a 2.88-inch touchscreen, an 8MP rotatable camera, and a scroll wheel for navigation. Its core innovation is the Large Action Model (LAM), an AI agent that can perform tasks across websites and applications on the user's behalf through voice commands. The R1 also supports third-party AI agents including Hermes Agent, Claude Code, and OpenClaw, making it a versatile hardware companion for AI developers and power users.
