Valve
Valve Steam Frame
Overview
The Valve Steam Frame is Valve's first standalone VR headset, announced in November 2025 and shipping in Summer 2026. Powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and SteamOS, it is designed as a streaming-first headset that can wirelessly stream your entire Steam library from a gaming PC with ultra-low 2ms latency via a dedicated 6GHz dongle, while also capable of running lighter titles locally. Featuring dual 2160x2160 LCD panels with pancake optics, a 110-degree field of view, capacitive finger-tracking controllers, and a modular rear battery strap with integrated speakers, the Steam Frame aims to combine the convenience of standalone VR with the full power of PC VR gaming.
