ONEXPLAYER (ONE-NETBOOK)

ONEXGPU 3: Next-Gen eGPU with AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT (RDNA 4)

Overview

The ONEXGPU 3 is the third-generation external GPU from ONEXPLAYER (ONE-NETBOOK), unveiled at CES 2026 in Las Vegas. It represents a major generational leap by integrating AMD's desktop-class Radeon RX 9070 XT GPU with RDNA 4 architecture, featuring 64 compute units, 4096 stream processors, 16GB of GDDR6 memory on a 256-bit bus with 640 GB/s bandwidth, and a 180W TGP. This delivers an estimated 48.7 TFLOPs of FP32 compute performance — more than double the ONEXGPU 2's 21.4 TFLOPs and a 2.3x increase over the original ONEXGPU. The enclosure connects via OCuLink (PCIe 4.0 x4, 64Gbps) or USB4 (40Gbps) to gaming handhelds, laptops, mini PCs, and desktops, and includes a built-in M.2 NVMe SSD slot, two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, Gigabit Ethernet, and a microSD card reader for full desktop docking functionality. Pricing and availability were still TBD at the time of announcement. The ONEXGPU 3 targets high-end 4K gaming, AI/ML development and inference, 3D rendering, and professional content creation workflows that demand the highest available external GPU performance.

Key Highlights
  • AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT desktop-class GPU with RDNA 4 architecture (64 CUs, 4096 SPs, 16GB GDDR6, 64 MB Infinity Cache, 180W TGP) — delivers massive generational leap over ONEXGPU 2 with 48.7 TFLOPs FP32 compute performance
  • Dual host connectivity with OCuLink SFF-8612 (PCIe 4.0 x4, 64Gbps) for maximum eGPU bandwidth and USB4 (40Gbps, compatible with Thunderbolt 4/3) for broad device compatibility with gaming handhelds, laptops, mini PCs, and desktops
  • Built-in M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD slot for expanding storage or accelerating game asset loading and AI model caching directly from the eGPU
  • Integrated docking station functionality with 2x USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, Gigabit Ethernet, and microSD card reader for single-cable desktop setup with connected host devices
  • Next-generation RDNA 4 compute platform with 53.9 billion transistors, 97.3 TFLOPs FP16 and 48.7 TFLOPs FP32 peak performance for gaming, AI development, 3D rendering, and content creation workloads
